Friday Introductions: Tiffany Romano Myers of Romano Vineyard & Winery

One of the challenges in my 6 Week Marketing Challenge is to get outside of your tribe. On Fridays, I'll introduce you to some people who are important to me that I think you should connect with to! First up is Tiffany Romano Myers, a Program Management Specialist at the Smithsonian Institution and marketing guru at her family's vineyard and winery, Romano Vineyard & Winery.

Who in real life inspires you?

Honestly “real” people who are putting in all they’ve got day in and day out. The teacher who puts in a 10 hour day teaching our kids, planning for the next day, and grading papers; the farmer who works from sun up to sundown growing veggies or livestock for us to consume; the first responder who leaves his/her family to defend our freedoms, protect our lives and property; the entrepreneurs who make the jump and go out on their own. It’s my fellow man/woman that inspires me!

What are you reading or listening to right now that others should too?

Reading: 100 Days to Brave by Annie F. Downs and Side Hustle by Chris Guillebeau

Podcasts: Yes, Please! So, I commute into Washington D.C. from Southern Maryland everyday on a commuter bus, Podcasts are my BFF! I ❤️ Death, Sex & Money (check it out!) and The School of Greatness.

If you could splurge on something what would it be?

Umm... yikes one thing?! If you looked in my closet you would think jackets, shoes or purses... BUT I would have to say a great meal with a really nice bottle (yes, bottle) of wine!

What is your best piece of marketing advice for other business owners?

Your customers are a great resource to build your brand, they will talk about your business to friends, “like” your posts on social media, forward your newsletters etc. Get in front of your customers and do it often! Be present (and current) online.

Tell us something we don't know...

Smithsonian facts: There are 19 museums and galleries and the National Zoological Park and 9 research facilities (can you name them all?)! The total number of objects, works of art and specimens is estimated at nearly 154 million.
